Researching International Super Scouts - our mission is to save these SSII Safari Midas Scouts!
My goal is create a registry to find out how many models were built by year and. Also to look for patterns in builds, etc. Would be great to know how many were built of each type, ie Midas, Rancher, Brush Buster, Sport, and Baja Cruiser.
We will also be able to get an idea how many survivors are still out there.
Finally, we need to help save these SSII's from the scrap yards and being parted out!!!
I have been a fan of International Scouts since I first saw them on a dealers lot in 1977. I drove past that lot going to high school every day. I looked a few times for one later in life, but never bought one. Then in 2018 I found a nice 79 Lexington Blue Rallye Scout in Texas. I was hooked! I then changed my focus to just SSII. So far I have been able to adopt a 79 Midas SSII, 79 Custom Color Blue SSII, 77 California White SSII, etc. Yes collecting them can become a bad habit. :-) I am also very interested in any literature on the SSII models, along with any historical information someone is willing to share. I have become a student of IH SSII's! If you have something to share please reach out to me!!!

A COPY OF YOUR LST WOULD BE GREAT. I MAY FIND SOMETHING ON IT THAT YOU DID NOT KNOW. IT ALSO HELPS WITH ANY FUTURE RESEARCH WE MAY NEED TO DO. I KEEP A COPY FOR MILE FILES, BUT DO NOT SHARE IT. KEEP IN MIND ANYONE WITH YOUR VIN NUMBER CAN ORDER A COPY FROM THE LIGHT LINE DEALERS.
